WWE Raw Promo With Logan Paul Caused Issues Backstage: Report

This past Monday’s episode of “WWE Raw” featured the return of Logan Paul, but things didn’t exactly go according to plan. Bryan Alvarez of “Wrestling Observer Radio” noted that WWE officials were “scrambling” backstage after the opening segment featuring Paul, CM Punk, and The Vision lasted about 10 minutes longer than initially planned.

Paul and Punk ultimately brawled with The Vision to end the opening segment of “Monday Night Raw.” By the end of the show, Paul remained the heel character professional wrestling fans have known him to be when he used brass knuckles to knock Punk out. “The Maverick” then handed the weapon to Paul Heyman to end the show.

Logan Paul Returns

Paul hasn’t had a match since “WWE Clash in Paris,” which took place on Aug. 31. He lost a singles match against John Cena. Now that he’s back on WWE TV, Paul might be setting his sights on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE has also teased an alliance between Paul and The Vision, which includes Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Heyman. When the “WWE Raw” broadcast went off the air, “The Maverick” ripped a Punk fan sign and implied that he used his intelligence for ultimately deciding to help the top faction of the red brand rather than go against them like he did in the opening segment.

Paul hasn’t been known to align with others during his singles run outside of help from his “Impaulsive” podcast friends. He did have a tag team match with Drew McIntyre, scoring a win over Randy Orton and music star Jelly Roll at ‘SummerSlam 2025.”
