Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is ready to once again prioritize the WWE in his career, according to a new report.
According to Fightful Select, WWE remains a top priority for The Rock, who is expected to make occasional appearances in the ring in the coming months. It’s understood that he has expressed his dedication, stating he’s “part of the family” and will show up whenever possible.
That said, his participation in WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, at Allegiant Stadium is still unclear. It has not been formally announced that the Rock will be at Wrestlemania, but the wrestler responded to a fan on social media earlier this month about doubts that he would be at the event, saying “Don’t believe any of that bulls**t 😉👊”

Fightful also went on to say that “they’ve not been given messaging that the Rock WON’T appear at WrestleMania.” That is certainly a bit of double-negative communication, but fans will just have to wait and see if the Great One shows up.
It is also perhaps unsurprising that the Rock would recommit his time and attention to the WWE. He officially became a board member of TKO Holdings Inc., the parent company of the WWE and UFC, in January, giving him nearly unprecedented authority as a wrestler over the promotion.
While there have always been popular wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Roman Reigns who act as the public face of the company, the Rock has crossed over to being one of the primary figures behind the scenes as well as in front of the cameras.
The Rock has also seen his movie career go through a number of struggles in the last several years, which arguably might have something to do with his renewed commitment to the WWE. Most notoriously, his 2022 film Black Adam was a huge flop at the box office (and with critics) and prompted rumors of backstage tyranny and egomania from the star. Although the actor is attempting to make a big-screen comeback with the upcoming Moana 2, he has lost a lot of goodwill with cinema audiences.

It is entirely possible that the Rock is now trying to make up that difference by pivoting back to WWE, the franchise that initially launched him as a cultural superstar.
