‘Wordle’ Today #1346 Hints, Clues and Answer for Monday, February 24 Game

Wordle Game NYT

About 2 million people continue playing Wordle every day, years after its creator Josh Wardle made it available to the public in October 2021, causing a sudden craze.

In January 2022, it was bought by The New York Times for an undisclosed low seven-figure sum, though it remains free for players.

The game, which Wardle said he created for his puzzle-loving girlfriend, challenges players to guess the daily mystery five-letter word within six tries or face failure in the form of the solution suddenly shown on screen. If you guess a letter correctly, it will turn green; if it is yellow, it means the letter is contained in the word, but it is in the wrong spot; and if it stays grey, you better keep on trying—it means it’s not included in the word you’re trying to guess.

Part of Wordle’s appeal is that the game is accessible to everyone while presenting a significant challenge. Some have guessed the mystery word on their first try, some started with the “wrong” word and never got to the solution.

Previously speaking to Newsweek, Erhan Aslan, who teaches applied linguistics at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, gave some advice for Wordle players.

“One thing that I think is important in this game is the starting word chosen. Starting off with words that include commonly used vowels, for example, e and a, consonants such as r and t, and sound sequences might be helpful. Choosing a word that starts with q, z, j, or x, for instance, may not be the best choice,” he said.

The answer to Monday’s puzzle will be revealed at the end of this article, so scroll down with caution if you want to work it out for yourself.

What Does ‘Gland’ Mean?

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “gland” as “a specialized cell, group of cells, or organ of endothelial origin that selectively removes materials from the blood, concentrates or alters them, and secretes them for further use in the body or for elimination from the body.” It could also indicate “a device for preventing leakage of fluid past a joint in machinery.”
