A newlywed husband’s giddy reaction to his wife changing her last name to his on Instagram has captured the hearts of millions online.
In a viral TikTok video posted by Alexandria Elizabeth Herde Oriol, her husband, Klaus, is seen breaking into a huge grin upon realizing she had made their marriage Instagram-official. Since the video was posted at @theluxereality, it has received nearly 2 million views. Oriol, 27, told Newsweek about what Klaus’ reaction meant to her in that moment, and how it reflected a swath of beautiful memories from their wedding.
“POV [point of view]: you just got married and change your Instagram last name to his,” Oriol captioned the video, which shows Klaus saying, “Let’s go! I like that,” while looking at his phone.

Oriol explained the timing and motivation behind the online gesture.
“I decided to change my Instagram last name to his because we were posting our official wedding photos that day and I wanted them to be posted with the new last name,” she said. She was definitely anticipating a joyful reaction from Klaus, too.
“My husband tends to have the best reactions, so something told me to do it and film his reaction when I told him to go check my Instagram page out,” Oriol said.
The couple’s long history together made the moment even sweeter. They have been married for seven years and “know each other like the back of our hands,” Oriol added. “He didn’t realize I was filming, so it made [his reaction] even more genuine.”
Witnessing Klaus’s pure happiness over the name change only further strengthened their connection for Oriol.
“To see him so happy about the gesture, it affirmed to me how well I know him,” she said. Sharing the intimate moment online also had a broader purpose for her: “I wanted to share the video as a reminder to women that there are men out there that will cherish you and get excited about the little things.”
A Musical Wedding
The couple tied the knot weeks earlier on April 5, 2025, in a picturesque micro-wedding on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, Oriol said. The ceremony was attended by about 35 close friends and family.
Music played a significant role throughout their celebration and reflected a key part of their bond in the ceremony. “[One] favorite moment was our friends singing a duet of ‘The Closer I Get to You’ during cocktail hour, as well as them singing the song ‘The Prayer’ during the dinner,” Oriol said. “Music is a big way that we communicate love to one another.”
Ultimately, the video of Klaus’ reaction seems to encapsulate the way the couple find joy through seemingly small, but deeply meaningful, gestures that celebrate their new life together.
