Hearts have been melted across the internet after a woman moved house and made sure to take along with her the feral cat she had been feeding.
For almost two years, April Serieno Marcum was taking care of an adorable feral cat in her neighborhood. She would regularly feed the feline, provide her with water, and ensure she was staying healthy while living out on the streets.
But when Marcum prepared to move house recently, it wasn’t just her belongings that she packed up and took with her. In fact, she welcomed the feral cat into her home and managed to get her into a crate before making the journey to their new home together.
After building up such a bond with the kitty, there was no way Marcum could leave the feline behind. She said that they have become “extremely close” over the years, and she wanted to give the cat a second chance at life.

Marcum shared this experience on TikTok (@aprilmarieserieno) with footage of the feral cat wandering into her home and preparing for the move. She also included images of her and the feline cuddling up in bed after traveling to the new house, as well as footage of the cat making biscuits in her fluffy bedding.
Seeing the cat go from feral to an indoor pet has delighted internet users, and the clip has gone viral with over 262,700 views and more than 53,300 likes on TikTok at the time of writing. Many social-media users have praised Marcum for taking the cat with her and ensuring she was looked after.

The cat certainly appears to be enjoying her new life too, as Marcum wrote in the TikTok caption that “she’s thriving.”
Deciding whether to take the cat weighed heavily on Marcum for a while. She said online that she “cried so many times” when she thought about leaving without the cat and ultimately decided to start this new chapter with the feline by her side.
Responding to one TikTok comment, Marcum wrote: “She relied on me for safety, shelter, food and love. I could never leave that sweetie behind.”
Social-media users can’t get enough of Marcum’s devotion to the feral cat, which has led to almost 1,000 comments on the viral TikTok video so far.
One comment reads: “THANK YOU! People don’t understand that leaving behind strays that become dependent on you is devastating and dangerous.”
Another TikTok user wrote: “I love people who love cats. Thanks for not leaving her behind.”
A third person replied: “She likes that blankie life.”
