Bradford James Gille, 42, is in custody and faces 11 counts assault with intent to murder in the random stabbing incident in a Michigan Walmart, Grand Traverse Sheriff Mike Shea said during a press conference Sunday.
Gille will also be charged with one count of terrorism, Shea said.
The motive has not yet been determined, Shea told reporters during the press conference.
Shea said Gille is from Afton, Michigan and has a criminal history that includes assault.
It is unknown if Gille has an attorney at this time.
Eleven people were transported to the hospital with stabbing injuries Saturday night following the stabbing in Traverse City. As of Sunday morning, all patients were out of critical condition, Newsweek previously reported.
