The Golden State Warriors revealed how they plan to honor guard Klay Thompson when he returns to the Bay Area next week. NBA insider Marc Stein reported that Golden State will be handing out a captain’s hat to all fans in attendance at the Chase Center.
Thompson famously loves boats and has taken plenty of rides on the San Francisco Bay during his time with the team. This is a cool way for the organization to honor such an important player in their team’s history.
The Warriors will welcome back Klay Thompson on Tuesday night by handing out a captain’s hat to all 18,064 fans at Chase Center.
They’re calling it a “Salute To Captain Klay” in honor of his love of boat rides on San Francisco Bay.
