Ahead of an exciting fight at UFC 313 on Mar. 8, EA Sports has opened the polls for a player vote in UFC 5, allowing the community to select two Alter Egos to be added to the game. The voting process is currently underway inside the game and will run until Mar. 10 at 1pm ET.
Alter Egos are alternative versions of athletes based on specific events earlier in their careers and eight such personas can be voted on:
- Frankie Edgar – TUF Season 19
- Glover Teixeira – UFC 267
- Jacaré Souza – UFC 198
- Paulo Costa – UFC 241
- Petr Yan – UFC 267
- Rafael Dos Anjos – UFC 185
- Stephen Thompson – UFC 205
- Zabit Magomedsharipov – UFC Fight Night (2019)

Every player can cast two votes for their favorite duo and every vote will count — not only to decide about the two upcoming fighters, but also for unlocking the free rewards EA Sports is putting up for grabs as incentives to participate in the process.
Players can obtain these free in-game rewards by reaching certain milestones:
- 75,000 Votes – “Timberrrr” Emote
- 150,000 Votes – “I Voted” Background
- 300,000 Votes – Strikeforce Crewneck
- 500,000 Votes – Charles Oliveira 2021 Alter Ego (Winner of the last vote)
EA Sports will announce the results of the vote in April 2025.
On top of the community vote, UFC 5 is celebrating the upcoming UFC 313 event with new Fight Week Challenges and a content drop, which brought Iasmin Lucindo into the game as a fighter. In addition to her, three Alter Egos were included in the release, adding new personas for Colby Covington (UFC 272), Edson Barboza (UFC FN 106), and Jan Błachowicz (UFC 259).
