Two National Guard soldiers were shot near the White House on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press and Washington, D.C., based news sources.
NEWSMAX’s Mike Carter reported on X, “Secret Service tells me 2 National Guard members have just been shot near the White House.”
Multiple police agencies are on the scene in the area around Farragut Square.
The DC Metro Police Department wrote on X, “Critical Incident: MPD is on the scene of a shooting at 17th and I Street, NW. Please avoid the area. Updates to come.”
