With free agency winding down, NFL teams and fans are starting to turn their attention toward the NFL draft.
The draft is exciting, as a bunch of new players enter the league, with it being completely unknown who will succeed and who won’t.
It is also exciting to try and predict what will happen, whether through picks or draft night trades.
Trades can be especially hard to predict, but some teams are definitely more likely to be aggressive than others.
Here are the teams most likely to trade up in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft.

New York Giants
The Giants seem like the most obvious team to be aggressive come draft night at the third overall pick.
They need a quarterback, and the two teams above them also need one, but there seem to be only two quarterbacks with first-round value.
If the Giants want to draft Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders, they may have to trade up.
If they were to trade up, trading to pick one seems like the most logical move, but trading up one spot to ensure they get a quarterback is also possible.

Denver Broncos
The Broncos have the 20th pick in the draft and a huge need at running back. While the running back class is deep, they could always trade up for Ashton Jeanty.
Trading up to draft a running back seems like a bold move on paper, but Jeanty is a generational prospect, making it worth it.
If Jeanty were to fall beyond the Raiders at six, his next potential landing spot seems to be 10-12.
The Broncos seem like a team approaching contender status, so being aggressive for a huge piece to boost their offense seems like a potential home-run move.
Houston Texans
The Texans inexplicably shipped off their top left tackle on an already weak offensive line. Their draft strategy seems to be clear.
However, that strategy is so clear, that it may lead them needing to get desperate and trade up. Plenty of other teams ahead of them in the draft need offensive line help, such as the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks.
With the Seahawks being at 18, the Texans may need to trade up to 17 from pick 25 if they want to secure a new left tackle worth a first-round grade.
Otherwise, they may need to trade back or reach for a new left tackle that likely won’t be as talented as they’d like to keep C.J. Stroud upright.
