But there is still plenty of baseball to play before then, and one bad stretch for the Twins could have them looking at an entirely different situation.

Buxton is tearing it up this season, hitting .280 with 15 home runs. If he were to land in the lineup surrounded by Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos, and Kyle Schwarber, Buxton would thrive hitting with protection.
While the Twins may not be in a position to trade Buxton now, he certainly is an enticing trade piece when the trade deadline arrives.
