Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers has been one of the most talked about names in the NFL throughout the 2025 offseason. While he’s still a free agent, he is expected to play during the upcoming campaign and will likely be playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

For many years with the Packers, Rodgers terrorized the rest of the league and has been one of the best quarterbacks of all-time. He has won a lot of games and led the team to one Super Bowl win during his tenure.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Rodgers and Green Bay parted ways a couple of years back, as the franchise was ready to move on to Jordan Love. He was traded to the New York Jets.

The two years Rodgers played with the Jets were a huge disappointment. He tore his Achilles on the first possession of the 2023 season and the team fell well short of expectations last year.

Despite the team struggles, Rodgers played well. He completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

While the two sides decided to separate, it sounds like Rodgers is open to one final chapter with the Packers. He’s open to the idea of signing and retiring with Green Bay.

“There’s a lot of love for me and how I feel about the team,” Rodgers said. “If I do or I don’t [retire as a Packer], I don’t think it should make a difference, I’m not sure yet. If they approached me about it, I probably would.”

Seeing Rodgers retire anywhere but with the Packers would be strange. The run that he had in Green Bay is something that will never be forgotten.

In the 18 years he played with the Packers, Rodgers completed 65.3 percent of his passes for 59,055 yards, 475 touchdowns, and 105 interceptions. He also picked up 3,466 yards and scored 35 touchdowns on the ground.

Rodgers is open to the idea. It would be shocking if Green Bay did not want to have the longtime superstar quarterback retire with the team.

Only time will tell, but Rodgers has opened the dialogue. Now, fans are simply waiting to find out if he’s going to play in 2025.

More than likely, he’ll be the quarterback of the Steelers when Week 1 arrives.
