A viral video left viewers sobbing tears of happiness over a special moment between a mother’s baby and dog.

While working on a house project, Katie Gohr’s 6-month-old baby and dog sat behind her, supervising and “helping” her. Gohr took a quick break to turn and check on the two who remained eerily quiet, but that was only because the two besties were busy enjoying each other’s company.

Gohr quickly grabbed her phone to capture the precious moment, which she shared in a March 15 TikTok video under her account @katiegohr. In the clip, the chocolate Labrador, Daisy Doo, rested her head against the baby’s carrier. The dog looked longingly up at baby Ruby Sue. To return the love, Ruby Sue started “petting” her. A smile took over her face.

Gohr told Newsweek she felt “overwhelmed with happiness” when she turned around and spotted them. She was touched by how Daisy Doo looked at her baby, Ruby Sue, and then at her with appreciation. It’s as if she was thanking Gohr for bringing home another best friend.

The baby kept moving her fingers right around the dog’s eyes, but Daisy Doo didn’t care. She kept her head there, accepting this was the kind of petting she’d get from the baby until she’s older.

Daisy Doo is no stranger to children. Gohr said the family brought home Daisy Doo about five years ago when her eldest daughter was a toddler. She’s always been calm and sweet with her. However, Ruby Sue is the first baby the dog has been around, and once again, it’s been nothing but love since she came home.

“That was their first ‘unsupervised’ hangout and Daisy just completely took over!” Gohr told Newsweek. “She’s the most loving dog on this planet and will melt in anyone’s arms even a baby.”

The internet quickly became obsessed with the adorable duo, stating that that is the dog’s baby now. the TikTok video reached 4.9 million views and 1.1 million likes.

“She said, ‘Don’t worry Mama, I got her,’ keeping that baby busy,” wrote a viewer.

Another said: “She’s like, ‘I don’t need that eye anyway, I have another one.'”

A third person commented: “She might not remember him but she will always remember her.”
