A millennial has left the internet in hysterics after she unearthed a grocery store photoshoot from 2007.
Claudia Filipsky (@cloudgirlvintage), 32, the owner of Toronto-based vintage store Cloud Girl Vintage, shared a series of photos of her 14-year-old self posing all over the aisles as her mom shopped. Dressed in a classic Y2K ensemble—pink tee, flared jeans, and a signature side fringe—Filipsky struck playful poses throughout the store. The Instagram post quickly resonated with viewers, garnering 188,866 likes and 2.3 million views.
“I think we should embrace our cringe from the past because we not only grow from it but we can all relate to those moments and laugh together. I’m glad my 14-year-old self could bring so many people together to have a laugh and remember the good old days, she’d be thrilled to see this,” Filipsky told Newsweek.
The photos showcase a teenage Filipsky in a variety of dramatic and humorous poses. In one memorable shot, she pretends to be trapped behind a freezer door; in another, she stands on a step stool in the pharmacy aisle. Other images include a high kick toward the camera and a close-up selfie with a green apple.

“I had a lot of feelings about seeing the photos after so many years, I remember I didn’t get very positive reactions when I first posted it but also made me chuckle seeing how out of the box it was for its time!” she shared.
Her personal favorite? A whimsical snap featuring a bottle of bleach priced at just 99 cents. In the photo, she pulls a dramatic face with her coat slipping off one shoulder.
Social media users were quick to flood the comments with praise and nostalgia.
“Okay but these kinda ate though, especially the one in the freezer (now I wanna make my friends do a photoshoot with me),” said one user.
“These are better photos than some photographers take these days. The vision is there,” added another fan.
“In the freezer is beyond iconic,” another person chimed in.
Filipsky reflected on the surprising wave of support: “The social media reaction has been mostly positive! I think it reminds people of a simpler time and how when we were young we lived in the moment and didn’t care about being cringe. It’s wild how many people relate to the photos and how it’s bringing people together. I’m also finding people I went to school with are finding it and hitting me up which is also interesting in its own ways.”
