This NBA offseason was expected to be among the biggest in recent years.

While there were some significant moves, it fell short of what many had expected. At the forefront of the offseason was Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo was at the forefront of the offseason due to his future in Milwaukee reportedly being in limbo. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported in mid-May that Antetokounmpo is ‘open-minded’ to a trade.
Because of that report, many expected the two-time MVP to request a trade, and teams were doing their best to provide the best package to the Bucks. However, three months later, nothing has materialized, and it is more than likely that Antetokounmpo will be a Buck at the start of the 2025-26 season.
That isn’t stopping Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report from concocting this massive trade proposal that would send the nine-time All-Star to the New York Knicks.

Here’s the massive deal that Bailey proposed, which also includes the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and the Utah Jazz.
“New York Knicks Receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo
New York Knicks Lose: Karl-Anthony Towns, Tyler Kolek, a 2026 first-round pick (via Washington), a 2030 first-round pick swap (for Milwaukee), a 2032 first-round pick swap (for Milwaukee) and three second-round picks
Milwaukee Bucks Receive: Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, Harrison Barnes, a 2026 first-round pick from New York (via Washington), a 2030 first-round pick from Miami, a 2030 first-round pick swap from New York, a 2032 first-round pick swap from New York, a 2032 first-round pick from Miami, a top-50 protected 2031 second-round pick from Utah and three second-round picks from New York
Milwaukee Bucks Lose: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis
Miami Heat Receive: Karl-Anthony Towns
Miami Heat Lose: Andrew Wiggins, Terry Rozier, a 2030 first-round pick and a 2032 first-round pick
San Antonio Spurs Receive: Lauri Markkanen
San Antonio Spurs Lose: Harrison Barnes, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2031 first-round pick
Utah Jazz Receive: Keldon Johnson, Bobby Portis, Jeremy Sochan, Tyler Kolek, a 2029 first-round pick from San Antonio and a 2031 first-round pick from San Antonio
Utah Jazz Lose: Lauri Markkanen and a top-50 protected 2031 second-round pick.”
The Knicks come out as the winner in this trade. They only acquired one player; however, they certainly acquire the best player in Antetokounmpo.
Although the Bucks lose their franchise cornerstone and a veteran presence in Portis, they receive a massive haul in return. Not only do they receive three veteran players, but they also collect a flurry of picks, including four first-round picks, with half of them being pick swaps.
This trade proposal certainly is a league-altering one. The Knicks acquire a true superstar, while the Spurs and Heat secure All-Star players in Lauri Markkanen and Karl-Anthony Towns, respectively.
The odds of the Bucks trading Antetokounmpo seem unlikely now, but a ton can change in the coming months.
