Joe Rogan Height Speculation Takes Internet by Storm

Joe Rogan

Speculation over the height of popular podcaster Joe Rogan has taken the internet by storm. Social media users who are critical of the comedian are pushing the claim that he is 5 feet 2 inches as a way of highlighting misinformation on his podcast.

Newsweek has reached out to a representative for Rogan via email for comment.

Why It Matters

Rogan is one of the most influential podcasters in the world. He endorsed President Donald Trump in the 2024 election and interviewed him on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, shortly before Americans went to the polls and attended his inauguration.

Rogan had been highly critical of Trump in the past and recently said that he doesn’t identify with the Republican party. The podcast is considered to have shifted to the right in recent years, and has drawn criticism for its discussion of conspiracy theories and defense of controversial comments.

What to Know

According to his IMDB, Rogan is 5’8″, but speculation about his height dates back to at least 2021. In June of that year, a video went viral on TikTok that had the words “Joe Rogan is literally 5’3″” in writing across the sky in Los Angeles.” The video, which has been liked over 25,000 times, recently resurfaced on social media.

But that is the tip of the iceberg. Over the past few days, speculation over Rogan’s height, or more specifically, the assertion that he is 5’2″, has gone wild online.

One TikTok video, posted by the social media creator Danimal, was captioned: “Joe Rogan is 5’2,” and it features the creator saying that in the clip while holding a tape measure to illustrate how tall 5’2″ is. That video had been liked over 500,000 times and viewed 6.2 million times at the time of publication.

Another social media creator, Chelsea Gods, has not only posted multiple videos about Rogan’s height, but is also selling hats that have printed on them: “Joe Rogan is Five Foot Two.”

So, why the sudden – and mass – interest in his height? It comes as Rogan is receiving criticism for his perceived shift to the right, and amid the amplification of conspiracy theories on his podcast.

One Reddit user wrote: “Yea he’s 5’8 and that’s a fact… but he regularly disregards facts on his podcast,” while another commented: “Lmao ofc people will care about facts that don’t matter like his height, but are totally fine with the same bloke lying his a** off.”

What People Are Saying

Elodia Reyna Rojas, a motivational speaker, said: “Joe Rogan is going viral, and not for the reasons he’d want. The internet has decided he’s 5’2″, and honestly? It makes perfect sense. The tiny man energy, the overcompensating alpha male rants, the horse medicine—it all adds up. And now his little minions are running around the internet defending his honor like he’s some kind of pocket-sized gladiator.”

Chelsea Gods on TikTok: “It is no surprise to me that the same men who say things like women aren’t funny are the same dudes who get all their news from Joe Rogan. This is a reminder that Joe Rogan is like 5’2”.

A Reddit user: “They care about the fact that he lies about things which are established facts, so they are taking a fact about him and spamming the internet with incorrect information stated as “fact” — and this lie is one which he might particularly not enjoy, as it’s something which many men (because of toxic societal norms) feel sensitive about.”

What’s Next

Given the prolonged and viral interest in Rogan’s height, the online speculation may well continue for some time.
