Aside from his play on the field, Winston is most known for his vibrant personality and viral quotes. Because he is someone players enjoy being around, the people at EA called on the Giants QB to help them out with some marketing.

Along with getting to speak with prospects like Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty, Winston also got to give some of his teammates their first Madden rating. The first was running back Cam Skattebo, who New York drafted in the fourth round of this year’s draft. He’ll be kicking off his pro career with a respectable 73 overall.

“I’ve been underrated my whole life so I’m gonna make that go up and up,” Skattebo said of his rating.

In a separate clip, Winston also got to give QB Jaxson Dart his rating. He has a bit of a bigger hill to climb, as he finds himself with just a 62 overall.

Earlier in his career, Winston led the league in passing yards with over 5,100 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, his role on the Giants is going to be much different. Winston’s impact in New York will likely be more behind the scenes as a veteran leader and mentor to the young squad.

With Wilson being named the starter and Dart being the long-term plan, Winston is kind of the odd man out in the Giants’ QB room. New York likely views him as a strong locker room presence who could also fill in if the team were hit with some bad injury luck.

Based on how he’s acted and spoken during training camp, Winston isn’t fazed by his current situation. Despite there being no clear path to seeing the field, he is still doing what he can to provide some kind of boost for the Giants.
