It’s hard to be too worried when you’ve got Nikola Jokic on the floor, but the last few games for the Nuggets have not been up to their usual standards. A blowout loss to the Timberwolves, a narrow win over an injury-depleted Lakers squad, and a home loss to the Wizards, the Nuggets are in a three-way tie for the No. 2 seed in the West. Denver is relatively healthy for this time of year, with the only substantial injury being to Aaron Gordon’s calf (day-to-day).
The Warriors have found new life with Jimmy Butler, winning 12 wins of their last 13 games, including a gritty 97-94 win at home against the Knicks. Stephen Curry led the way with 28 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a rare block, while Moses Moody chipped in to score 18. The Knicks tied the game at 88 with 2:52 left, but five free-throw makes in the last 1:06 sealed the deal for the Dubs.
This is the second matchup of the season for the Warriors and Nuggets, with the first being a 119-115 win for the Nuggets in the NBA‘s In-Season Tournament. They will play again in Golden State on April 4th.
