Costa Rica opened its 2025 Gold Cup campaign with a 4-3 win over Suriname, with goals scored by Alonso Martinez, Manfred Ugalde, and Josimar Alcocer. Then, Costa Rica defeated the Dominican Republic 2-1 with goals scored by Ugalde and Alcocer.
