A mom who noticed her two kids were “being so quiet” could barely believe the state she found them in.

In a reel on Instagram, Jezlyn Bearden and her husband Grayson discovered their sons hiding behind a chair and giggling. Their eldest, Asher, had white cream smothered across his cheeks.

“It was a little too quiet for a moment, so my husband went to see what our boys were up to,” Jezlyn told Newsweek. “They can be pretty mischievous together.”

When the parents discovered what the boys were up to, they were in shock. Grayson retrieved the item their youngest, August, was sucking on: Desitin diaper rash cream. “We need to call poison control,” he said to his wife.

Later, reading aloud from the tube, Grayson said: “If swallowed get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.”

Jezlyn captioned the clip: “Never a dull moment,” but was pleased to report that August didn’t actually ingest any of the cream and “he did in fact live to see another day.”

“He was totally fine,” she told Newsweek. “They didn’t ingest any, although it took ages to get that stuff out of their hair!”

As someone who grew up with siblings close in age, Jezlyn told Newsweek that she just laughed when she found the boys up to mischief.

“We got in all sorts of trouble together so unless it’s really serious I find it entertaining,” she said. “Of course we correct them, but it reminds me so much of my own silly childhood stories like that.”

The clip, which has been viewed 5.5 million times, prompted other fellow parents to share their stories of growing up

“My parents once had to call poison control for my sister. She chewed open a glow stick. She’s still alive,” one user wrote.

“Only my dad was home for a day, left me alone for like two minutes, couldn’t find me. Where was I? in the bathroom, slathered in moms body butter head to toe,” another shared.

A third commenter added: “Your husband was either an only child or the oldest child with a 9yr+ age gap.”

“So many people related to me finding it humorous and shared stories about their own childhoods, especially those with mischievous siblings,” Jezlyn told Newsweek.
