Retirement looms for a former WWE titleholder, and he’ll be making his final New York City appearance as a professional wrestling star. Outlaw Wrestling has announced that TNA Wrestling talent JDC, known as Fandango during his time in WWE, will be appearing at the Williamsburg show inside Shrine Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Thursday.
JDC made his sudden retirement announcement during the Nov. 13 episode of “TNA iMPACT.” He revealed that after “TNA Genesis” in January, he will hang up his wrestling boots for good.

JDC’s Swan Song
A wider wrestling audience was introduced to the Fandango character in 2013. While JDC had been paying his dues under Deep South Wrestling, Florida Championship Wrestling, and “NXT” years prior, it was the ballroom dancer gimmick that boosted his popularity. He even scored an upset win over Chris Jericho at “WrestleMania 29.”
Despite being popular with live crowds, the Fandango character wasn’t given a big push beyond the victory over Jericho. Still, JDC extended his shelf life with WWE after teaming with Tyler Breeze. The two were known as Breezango, and they ended up capturing the NXT Tag Team Championship. In 2021, JDC’s 15-year run with WWE came to an end after he was released.
While many questioned JDC’s future in wrestling due to running a successful home improvement business, he ended up finding new life once again under the TNA Wrestling banner. JDC appeared at “Bound for Glory 2022,” and he ultimately signed a contract with TNA. He has been a part of one of the company’s top factions, The System.
Things came full circle for JDC on Feb. 4. He made his first WWE appearance in four years and challenged Lexis King for the Heritage Cup the following week on “NXT.”
