The WWE Royal Rumble is typically an event full of surprises, as competitors join the match one by one, and some returning stars or legends get unveiled. Former champions often return to compete in the 30-man or woman matches, with Nikki Bella among those returning earlier this year in the Women’s Royal Rumble.
In addition to major debuts and even TNA star appearances, fans have also seen shocking returns from major stars, including John Cena and Edge at previous editions of the Rumble. It appears another former champion is interested in appearing in the popular match, under one condition.
Jazz, real name Carlene Denise Moore-Begnaud, worked with ECW and WWE as an in-ring performer for about seven years. Based on recent interview remarks, she seems willing to compete in a Royal Rumble match, but sent a clear message to WWE about her participation.

Various former champions and WWE women’s wrestling stars have appeared in the Royal Rumble matches, including Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Melina, Beth Phoenix, Lita, and Trish Stratus. During her appearance on “Ring the Belle,” Jazz was asked if she’d also want to participate in a WWE Royal Rumble.
“Oh, God. Give me a heads up so I can prepare myself,” the wrestling legend said, adding, “Don’t let it be a two-week notice. That’s all I ask. Okay. Give me like at least a month so I can prepare myself, you know, mentally, more mentally, but yet physically as well. So I can get in the gym, you know, work on my guns a little bit, but yeah, just give me a little heads up and I’ll most definitely be prepared.”
Jazz made her wrestling debut with ECW in her early career before joining WWE, where she worked from 2001 to 2004. During her career, she captured the WWE Women’s Championship twice.
She returned to WWE in 2006, albeit briefly, for a WWE vs. ECW Head-to-Head show. However, she competed against another Mickie James, who was champion at the time, and lost.
After departing from WWE, she’s worked in a variety of promotions, including All Elite Wrestling, Shine Wrestling, and Impact Wrestling. She worked at the WWE Performance Center this May as a guest trainer and appeared in the crowd at July’s WWE Evolution 2 event with other women’s Hall of Famers or legends.
That seems to leave the door open for the 53-year-old to enter a Royal Rumble as a legend, if WWE makes the call early enough. The next installment of the Rumble takes place on Jan. 31, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, so it will likely come down to who WWE chooses to include in the popular premium live event.
