The Los Angeles Dodgers marched into Toronto and forced a decisive Game 7 in the World Series.
In a game that the Dodgers led 3-1 with no outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, and the Toronto Blue Jays were threatening to win the Fall Classic in epic walk-off fashion, right-hander Tyler Glasnow entered the game. Three pitches later and a miraculous double play from utility star Kike Hernandez to end the game, the best two words in sports would become a reality.

As the Dodgers prepare for what will be a legacy-defining game, manager Dave Roberts was asked how he felt going into Game 7, knowing that he and his squad have been in high-leverage situations before.

“I feel great. I feel great,” Roberts said. “We’re just, it’s, we’re going to leave it out there. I don’t think that the pressure, the moment’s going to be too big for us. We got to go out there and win one baseball game. We’ve done that all year. Everyone’s bought in. So I don’t know how the game’s going to play out, but as far as kind of the moment, winning a game, I couldn’t be more excited to get to sleep and wake up to play a baseball game tomorrow.”
As simple as winning one baseball game sounds, something that the Dodgers did 93 times in the regular season, the Blue Jays (who won 94) have the same task.
It is unclear who will be starting Game 7 for LA, but scheduled starter Tyler Glasnow appears to still be fresh after a three-pitch relief appearance, and although it would be on his shortest rest in between starts this season, superstar Shohei Ohtani is also an option.
Roberts declined to announce a starter, but whatever the Dodgers end up going with on Saturday, the stage is set for what should be a memorable contest.
