The Boston Celtics will be taking on the Portland Trail Blazers today as they look to grab their fifth straight win. Boston has won nine of their past 10 games overall and is rolling right now.

However, it hasn’t been easy as the Celtics have seen multiple injuries take hold of them. Star forward Jaylen Brown has missed multiple games due to a significant injury and his return date remains up in the air.
But heading into this game with Portland, the Celtics injury report is fairly long. The most notable names on it are star forward Jayson Tatum, center Kristaps Porzingis, and point guard Jrue Holiday.

Tatum has been dealing with right knee tendinopathy and has become a consistent presence on the injury reports for Boston. The star forward was listed as questionable for the game and will play in this contest.

As for Porzingis, he is still getting over a long illness that kept him off the floor. Porzingis is also dealing with a shoulder issue and was listed as questionable entering the game. The center will not play in this game.

Finally, Holiday has been playing through a nagging finger issue but also has a shoulder ailment. Holiday was also listed as questionable for the game and will not play in this contest.

The Celtics need to get themselves healthy for the upcoming postseason if they want any chance to repeat as NBA champions. This team is still very good and they’ve proved themselves all year long.
This game against Portland is the first of a back-to-back so the team could be cautious with the roster. The Trail Blazers are battling for playoff positioning themselves so Boston can’t overlook them heading into this contest.

Boston currently holds the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference standings, sitting with a record of 51-19 for the year. The team is essentially locked into the second seed barring anything wild happening down the stretch of the season.
