A Class I product recall (which is the Food and Drug Administration’s highest-risk product recall category) has been issued by Ambriola Company for certain cheese products due to a potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
As a result, the Deli company, Supreme Service Solutions LLC, has voluntarily pulled varieties of its Boar’s Head-branded Pecorino Romano Cheese after learning the affected batches were manufactured and supplied by Ambriola. As a precaution, Boar’s Head has also withdrawn other Ambriola-supplied products.

The recall was initially initiated by Ambriola Company, which produces select Boar’s Head cheeses, after the FDA notified the company about the potential contamination. Affected products include:
- Boar’s Head Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese – 6 oz (UPC: 042421-05858, Sell-by dates: 11/21/25 to 3/12/26)
- Boar’s Head Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese (UPC: 042421-15119, Sell-by dates: 11/21/25-3/12/26)
Boar’s Head also stated that, “in an abundance of caution,” it has decided to withdraw all Ambriola-produced products, which include the following cheese item, which is not part of the recall:
- Boar’s Head Pecorino Romano Cheese pre-cut wedge – 7 oz (UPC: 0-42421-15160, Sell-by dates: 11/25/25 to 5/11/26)
According to the FDA announcement, the recalled products were sold in Kroger stores across Kentucky and Indiana and packaged in clear plastic containers of “various sizes.” It has also issued a warning for the following Boar’s Head-branded deli salads and wraps, which could potentially be contaminated:
- EverRoast Chicken Caesar Salad (UPC: 850042244142, Sell-by dates: 11/9/2025-11/22/2025)
- EverRoast Chicken Caesar Wrap (UPC: 85004224455, Sell-by dates: 11/9/2025-11/22/2025)
No illnesses or consumer complaints related to Supreme Deli’s recall have been reported at the time of writing this.
