Stefon Diggs helped steady the New England passing attack on Sunday, hauling in five catches — including a red-zone touchdown — for 46 yards by the end of the third quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The veteran receiver’s stat line added to a season in which he had totaled 45 catches (53 targets) for 508 yards and two scores through the first nine games coming into Sunday’s contest, leading the Patriots in receptions, targets, and receiving yards.

Diggs also etched his name alongside an elite group on Sunday, surpassing the 11,000-yard mark to become only the seventh active player to do so.

Starting the afternoon just one yard shy, Diggs officially moved past the milestone with his performance in Tampa.

New England signed Diggs in March to a three-year, $69 million deal as a veteran focal point for second-year quarterback Drake Maye.

He spent 2024 with the Houston Texans, though the height of his career came earlier with the Buffalo Bills, where from 2020 to 2023 he totaled 5,372 yards and 37 scores.

In 2020, he led the NFL in receptions (127), targets (166), and receiving yards (1,535) en route to a 13-3 record and AFC Championship appearance with the Bills.

Now in his 11th season, he has four Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro nods.

This season, Diggs hasn’t been a pure volume monster, but he’s been consistently involved on critical downs and in scoring opportunities.

His 508 yards place him inside the league’s top 30 receivers this year, and and within reach of a seventh career 1,000-yard season.

Next up, the Patriots host the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium on Nov. 16, before a trip to Cincinnati on Nov. 23 and back-to-back home games against the New York Giants and Bills; games that will be critical for the team to secure a high playoff seed.

Diggs should remain one of the primary focal points for New England over the final stretch of the season.
