WWE Star Running Out of Time for Survivor Series Return

“Survivor Series” now means “WarGames” in WWE, as teams of five Superstars strive to survive inside a double-ring cage match. This year’s event looks to have The Vision at the center of the “Raw” brand’s bout, despite the faction’s recent storyline actions.

The group, originally led by Seth Rollins, brutally betrayed him, which was used to write Rollins off television after an injury forced him to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship.

It had been rumored that Brock Lesnar and, more incredibly, Austin Theory would join Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed in “WarGames.” But Rollins’ vacant spot, at least, has now been filled in a shocking fashion.

On the November 3rd edition of “Raw,” Logan Paul made a surprise return. He initially came to new World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk’s aid during a two-on-one fight against The Vision.

However, by the end of the night, Paul’s true self shone through. He viciously betrayed Punk with brass knuckles and officially joined Paul Heyman’s new iteration of The Vision.

If Lesnar and Theory are still planned to join Heyman’s core trio of Breakker, Reed, and now Paul, that would make an imposing team of five. The question of who they would go up against is still somewhat up in the air.

Speaking on “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Dave Meltzer noted that one WWE star was planned for the babyface team but could also be forced to miss out due to injury.

“The other thing is, Seth’s [Rollins] replacement in War Games is gonna be Logan Paul,” Meltzer reported. “And, even though Punk did his thing of knocking Roman Reigns, that’s still the plan.”

Meltzer then outlined the potential team set to oppose The Vision. “Punk, Roman Reigns, The Usos on that team, probably with LA Knight as the other guy.”

He also provided an update on another star originally planned for the match. “Jacob [Fatu] was supposed to be in it but he’s just had his surgery so it depends if he’s okay by the end of the month.”

Jacob Fatu is currently out of action due to needing dental surgery. He was written off television weeks ago by virtue of a mysterious backstage attack.

2024’s “WarGames” match saw CM Punk join up with Roman Reigns. That alliance set up the chain of events that eventually caused Paul Heyman to stab both men in the back and align with Seth Rollins at “WrestleMania 41.”

The 2025 “Survivor Series: WarGames” is scheduled for Saturday, November 29th, at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
