All eyes are on the upcoming trade deadline, which is set to end on November 4 at 4PM EST. One team that many believe will make a sizeable trade is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who may have already teased that a move is incoming.

The Steelers announced they have released cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr., which could mean that the team is set to bring on at least one player ahead of the trade deadline.
Releasing a player isn’t a guarantee that a move will be made, but the timing seems to point to just that. There is less than 24 hours left where teams can improve their rosters, and the Steelers have a glaring hole that everyone believes they will try and improve with a huge trade.

A big roster hole for the team is the wide receiving corps. DK Metcalf has emerged as Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target, picking up 461 yards and five touchdowns this season. However, no other receiver has yet to eclipse the 300-yard mark.
Even Metcalf is a bit inconsistent. The team did sign Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who played for several years with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, but he is not the WR1 that he once was. That said, the Steelers may look to take a big swing at a wide receiver.
Though Pittsburgh also showcased what the defense can do when they upset the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9, there is more needed on that side of the ball as well. The Miami Dolphins traded Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith to the Steelers, so who is to say they wouldn’t do something wild like bring back Minkah Fitzpatrick, even though he was part of the trade that led to Ramsey and Smith being acquired.
Steelers general manager Omar Khan proved plenty that he is not afraid to make deals, and that was especially true over the offseason. Expect a huge deal to be made, and the release of Bishop only further adds fuel on the fire of the trade speculation coming from the Steel City.
