The Chicago Bears were able to snatch victory away from the jaws of defeat in one of the most entertaining games of the 2025 NFL season. While there were plenty of negative takeaways from the game for Chicago, their dynamic offense certainly came to play in a major way.
Both the passing game and the ground game were on point for the Bears, recording 576 yards of offense, the most yards from any team in a single game all season long.
The Bears’ defense did their offense no favors, allowing 42 points to Joe Flacco and company. However, when it mattered most, Chicago’s offense went and won the game late in the fourth quarter with a 58-yard passing touchdown to Colston Loveland.
Chicago scored just about any way they wanted on Sunday. In addition to throwing for three touchdowns, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams also hauled in a receiving touchdown from DJ Moore.

The 47-point offensive outing for Chicago set NFL history in the process. According to OptaStats, the Bears are now the only team in league history to ever have a player record three passing touchdowns (Caleb Williams), another player with a passing and rushing touchdown (DJ Moore), and a third player record over 150 rushing yards (Kyle Monangai) in a single game.

This kind of offensive production is exactly what Bears fans had in mind when the organization named former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as their new head coach.
After the win, the Bears sit at 5-3 on the season, firmly in the mix in the NFC North after both the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions lost in Week 9.
Heading into Week 10, the Bears will face off against a New York Giants defense that allowed 34 points to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. So, at least on paper, there will be plenty of opportunity for Chicago to build on this newfound offensive momentum moving forward.
