This race features four drivers battling for the championship. Barring a disqualification for failing post-race inspection, whoever finishes highest out of William Byron, Chase Briscoe, Kyle Larson, and Denny Hamlin will take home the title.
Hamlin, who is searching for his first title, is on the pole for this race, while Byron starts second, Larson third, and Briscoe 12th.
Larson is the only former champion left in this battle. The 2021 Cup Series winner has taken home three race victories this season with 21 top 10s.
Hamlin, who is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with NASCAR, has raced full-time in the Cup Series since 2006 without winning a championship yet. He has six wins and 17 top 10s this season.
Byron has made the Championship 4 in three consecutive years now, but finished third among the contenders in 2023 and 2024. He’s won three times this season as he looks for his first title.
Briscoe is in his first season with Joe Gibbs Racing. He has three wins this season and the best average finish of his career. This is his first Championship 4 appearance.
