The Buffalo Bills made a few moves to improve their offense during the offseason as they look to push for a Super Bowl while their window is wide open.
Josh Allen didn’t have too many targets on offense, so the Bills went out and signed Los Angeles Chargers wideout Josh Palmer to a three-year deal worth nearly $30 million.
Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon recently suggested that this addition is already looking like a steal for the Bills ahead of the regular season.

“The 2021 third-round pick flashed at times during his four-year rookie contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, but he never hit the 800-yard mark, and he scored just six total touchdowns the last three seasons,” Gagnon wrote. “A handful of receivers got more money on the open market than Palmer, yet the 25-year-old reportedly looks like he’s already becoming a ‘staple’ on offense and a candidate to lead the receiving corps in snaps. His connection with Josh Allen has apparently begun to heat up, and the training camp X reviews are extremely promising thus far.”
Palmer, 25, has all the makings of becoming the X-factor for the Bills this year. Buffalo employed a lot of middle-of-the-road wide receivers last year, and their offense was perfectly fine. With Palmer still young and improving, Allen could connect with him for over 800 yards and more than a handful of touchdowns this year.
Allen is a very dominant force on offense, and the Bills needed to surround him with more weapons coming into this year. The addition of Palmer may not seem like a huge deal on the outside looking in, but there’s a chance Palmer could produce enough in years one and two to pay for his entire deal. The upside is certainly there.
