The Cadillac F1 team announced a partnership with Hollywood star Keanu Reeves to produce a new docuseries showcasing the inspiring journey of the American outfit from its inception to its F1 debut in 2026 as the sport’s eleventh team.

Cadillac received its final approval from Formula One Management (FOM) to enter the sport in March this year, bringing an end to nearly two years of struggle. The new F1 outfit aims to document its entire journey and showcase it to the world before its F1 debut at Melbourne’s Albert Park in March 2026.

“We’ve teamed up with Keanu Reeves to host a brand new docuseries following our story in full, from day one to debut in 2026.

“From the creators of Brawn: The Impossible F1 Story, expect rare behind-the-scenes access to what it takes to build a brand new F1 team from the ground up.”

Reeves will play the role of the host and executive producer, bringing his own KR+SH production company to partner with North One. Given the impact of his Disney+ docuseries on Brawn GP’s story, Reeves comes with the perfect credentials to spotlight the story of Cadillac’s F1 entry. Speaking on the project, Reeves said:

“I’m very honored and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of Formula 1 racing,” said Reeves.

“Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.”

Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports and the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, said:

“This is a story of bold ambition and relentless drive. We’re honored to work with Keanu, whose passion and knowledge of racing runs deep, and proud to partner with GM on this incredible story.

“We have an opportunity to welcome a new generation of fans to Formula 1 and Keanu’s creativity is the perfect spark to ignite that journey.”

Mark Reuss, GM President, added:

“General Motors and TWG Motorsports joined forces on a bold mission – to build a uniquely American Formula 1 team.

“It’s a thrill to have Keanu Reeves document the Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s journey to our first season in the FIA Formula One World Championship.”

The docuseries promises “an intimate look at the unique challenges of assembling a competitive team on an accelerated timeline” and boldly aims to showcase “a first-hand account of the vision behind establishing a distinctly American presence in a sport long dominated by European powerhouses.”
