Husband Takes Dog to the Groomer’s—Wife Unprepared for What Comes Home

A man who brought a dog to the groomers without supervision has been told he is banned from doing it again, after the pup returned with an incredible mullet.

Kimberly, 34, lives in Alabama with her family, which includes a goldendoodle named Wilson—who has gone viral for his new haircut.

The mom and wife, who posts to TikTok under the username @kimberlynorfleet, shared a video of Wilson that has racked up an impressive 4.1 million views showing the aftermath of her husband taking the dog to the groomers “unsupervised.”

In the video, Kimberly slowly pans up Wilson’s body from his tail, and it first appears the groomer has done a good, clean job.

Then the camera reaches his head—and Wilson has a mane of thick, curly fur reaching from his eyes to the blades of his shoulders.

Kimberly picked the perfect song to accompany the video, with Billy Ray Cyrus crooning “I want my mullet back” as Kimberly shows off her dog in all his glory.

She wrote in a caption: “My husband is NEVER allowed to take him to the groomers, unsupervised, again!”

TikTok users loved it, awarding the video close to 300,000 likes as one commenter played along with the joke: “Good dude. Met him in a bar back in 85′, we’ve stayed in touch since.”

Many jokingly took issue with Kimberly declaring her husband wasn’t taking Wilson to the groomers again, as one asked: “Why? Cause you don’t like having the coolest dog in the neighborhood?”

“This is genuinely the coolest haircut I’ve ever seen on a dog,” another agreed, while one declared: “Idc [I don’t care] what anyone says, dogs suit mullets.”

Wilson’s cut even inspired other dog owners, as one commenter wrote: “Incredible! This will be my Goldendoodle’s next cut for sure!”

One commenter even declared: “I’m pretty sure your husband should be the ONLY one for dog groomer duties from now on! This cut is Legit!”

And in a comment, Kimberly admitted Wilson and her husband were “very proud of themselves” after their trip to the groomers.

“They came home and immediately started taking selfies in the backyard!”

Wilson the goldendoodle got an eye-catching cut at the groomers.

Goldendoodles like Wilson are a crossbreed of golden retrievers and a miniature or standard poodle, and while the breed is not recognized by the American Kennnel Club (AKC), it has become a popular family pet.

According to Purina, the goldendoodle requires some form of grooming daily to keep its coat in good condition. The poodle, meanwhile, is described by the AKC as among the dog breeds that require the most grooming, often professionally.

The bichon frise, Afghan hound, Portuguese water dog, puli and komondor complete the AKC’s list of dog breeds requiring the most grooming.
