It is Masters week and that means reigning champion Scottie Scheffler has arrived at Augusta National.
He will be looking to win his third Green Jacket in the last four years, a pretty remarkable feat.
As Brian Harman was capturing the Valero Texas Open, Golf on CBS X account posted a video of Scheffler speaking from Augusta.
Of course, he was rocking his Green Jacket for all to see.
“I don’t mind being able to put it on out here. It’s pretty fun,” Scheffler said.
The World No. 1 then detailed his excitement for his Masters menu before being asked if he was going to get a round in on Sunday.
“Yeah, I gotta go play today.” Heartwarmingly, he revealed who he was going to be playing with. “My mom,” Scheffler said with a smile.

Scheffler, the 2024 Masters champion, has been on a rollercoaster ride lately. The Ridgewood, NJ native had an impressive record of two PGA Tour wins along with five top-5 finishes before heading into Augusta last year.
However, this year’s been a different story. Scheffler is yet to win on Tour, leading some to wonder if he’s lost that same level of dominance.

While others speculate that a palm injury from a Christmas dinner mishap might be to blame, limiting his practice time. But Scheffler, as we know him, is not one to get caught up in the stress.
“I try not to think about my wins or losses too much, just try to stay in the present.”
And it seems this mindset has served him well, especially when he’s got his loved ones by his side.
Take his recent appearance at Augusta National, for instance. On Sunday, Scheffler arrived at the Masters course with a special guest by his side – his mother.
His 55-year-old mother, Diane Scheffler, played the Masters course for the very first time. “This is so special,” said the 13-time PGA Tour winner’s father. He added, “I’m getting emotional.”
Diane Scheffler’s been a constant source of support throughout Scottie’s career. “I was fortunate to grow up in a home with two parents that loved all of us very dearly,” said Scheffler.
“My mom was the one who was working and supporting our family financially, which I would say is a little bit different,” he revealed on Mother’s Day in May 2023.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Scheffler’s shared a special moment with family at Augusta. Last April, he invited his younger sister, Molly, to the tournament.
This year, it was his mom’s turn. The two even took a leisurely Sunday stroll around the course, savoring every moment.
Seeing the bond, the fans could not control themselves and chimed in saying, “My favorite family in sports.” Another social media user added, “What a great day for momma Scheffler.”
Before teeing off with his mom, Scheffler handed out trophies to the winners of the Drive, Chip & Putt – Boys 12-13 age division.
