Los Angeles FC knocked out the reigning MLS Cup champions, Columbus Crew, 4–2 on aggregate to advance to the quarterfinals. Denis Bouanga continues to lead LAFC while scoring 3 goals in the tournament and 6 in all competitions this season. They will look for a gritty game out of Bouanga as they look to get a leg up in the first match.
Meanwhile, Inter Miami is making its second straight appearance in the quarterfinal and is bringing momentum. The Herons cruised past Cavalier FC in the Round of 16, winning 4-0 on aggregate. Lionel Messi did not play in that match due to injury, It looks like he will suit up tonight for the quarterfinal in LA. When Suarez and Messi are on the pitch, it is a tough duo to defend and LAFC will have their hands full if that is the case.
