Jodie Foster attended the 2025 SAG Awards with a special guy by her side — her son, Charlie Bernard.

The actress wore a maroon gown with a boat neck and accessorized with chunky gold cuffs on each wrist. Charlie, 26, looked dapper in a classic black tux as he posed on the carpet in a rare appearance alongside his super famous mom.

Foster is also a mom to son, Christopher “Kit” Bernard, 23. She welcomed both kids with Cydney Bernard, whom she split from in 2008.

Foster is nominated in the outstanding performance by a female actor in a television movie or limited series for her role as Detective Elizabeth Danvers in True Detective: Night Country. She has already been recognized for the role, winning the award for best female actor in a limited or anthology series for her role in the show at the 2025 Golden Globes.

Foster’s son, Kit, was her date for that award show — and she made sure to acknowledge both of her boys during her acceptance speech.

“I just want to thank my family,” she said. “Because Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son who’s starting his career, hopefully you understand the joy, such joy, that comes from doing really hard, meaningful, good work. So my boys, I love you, and this, of course, is for you. And the love of my life, Alex, thank you forever,” Foster added, referring to her spouse, Alexandra Hedison.

In January 2024, Charlie joined his mom when she was invited to be a guest on The Tonight Show. Charlie sat quietly in the audience during his mom’s interview.

“Tall guy! He’s a good man,” host Jimmy Fallon said before the camera panned over to Charlie.

Foster’s oldest son attended Yale University where he further developed a love for theater.

“Theater geek. I write and improvise and I hope I’m funny,” reads Charlie’s tagline on Yale’s College of Arts website. He graduated from the university in 2021.
