WWE has had many women’s titles since starting their first one back in 1956. They’ve had big titles on Raw and SmackDown and smaller ones like the Women’s Speed Championship.
Many famous female wrestlers have held these titles, like Trish Stratus and Lita, and newer ones like Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer, who hold two NXT titles at once. But some women who were champions have been kind of forgotten. Here is our list:
10. Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn, a prominent WWE Diva during the early 2010s, gained recognition by winning NXT Season 3 in 2010 and later achieving the Divas Championship in 2013, defeating Eve Torres. Her notable feud with AJ Lee culminated in a memorable match at Payback 2013. In 2014, she departed WWE to pursue fitness and business ventures, returning briefly for the 2018 Mae Young Classic but ultimately not re-signing with the company.
9. The Kat
Stacy Lee Carter, known as The Kat during WWE’s Attitude Era, wasn’t known for her wrestling skills, but she did win the Women’s Championship once. She beat Ivory at a big show in 1999 and held the title for 49 days. Now, she’s no longer in wrestling. After her divorce from Jerry Lawler, she started working in real estate.
8. Debra
Like The Kat, Debra wasn’t a serious wrestler either. She got into wrestling through her marriage to Steve “Mongo” McMichael and managed wrestlers like Owen Hart and Steve Austin. In 1999, she won the Women’s Championship from Sable in a special match, even though she was supposed to have lost first. After her divorce from Steve Austin, she went back to school and got a master’s degree in criminal justice.
7. Toni Storm
Ricky Havlik/AEW
Toni Storm held the NXT UK Women’s Championship for a while, winning it from Rhea Ripley. Now, in 2025, she has a new character, acting like a famous Hollywood star. She’s become a big star in AEW, especially after her rivalry with Mariah May. They’ve traded the AEW Women’s World Championship, and Storm recently won it for a record fourth time.
6. Rockin’ Robin
Rockin’ Robin, who is related to a controversial wrestling family, quickly became a big deal in WWE when she arrived in 1987. She had a famous fight with Sensational Sherri and won the Women’s Championship, holding it for a long time, even defending it at Royal Rumble 1989. She left WWE in 1990, taking the title with her. After wrestling for a couple more years, she retired in 1992 and now works in real estate.
5. The Glamour Girls
The Glamour Girls, Judy Martin, and Leilani Kai are known for having a very long run as the first WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Leilani Kai also won the Women’s Championship once. Judy Martin later became a police officer after she retired from wrestling, and Leilani Kai retired in 2015, with not much known about her life since then.
4. Jillian Hall
Jillian Hall’s time as Divas Champion is easily forgotten since she only held the title for a few minutes. She won it in a sneaky way on a Raw show in 2009 but lost it right away in the next match. After leaving WWE, she wrestled occasionally on her own and had a brief return in the 2021 Royal Rumble. Now, she spends her time being a mother.
3. Bertha Faye
Bertha Faye, who held the WWE Women’s Championship for a short time in the mid-90s, won the title at SummerSlam in 1995 but lost it a few months later. She then asked to leave the company. Sadly, Rhonda Ann Sing, the woman who played Bertha Faye, died of a heart attack in 2001 at just 40 years old.

2. Alicia Fox
Alicia Fox, who wrestled in WWE for almost 20 years, only won one major title: the Divas Championship in 2010, holding it for 55 days. After losing the title, she never won another major women’s title, except for a brief time as a 24/7 Champion. She left WWE in 2023 and now wrestles on her own as Vix Crow, where she’s had some success against well-known wrestlers.
1. Velvet McIntyre
Velvet McIntyre, who was from Ireland, was the first Irish woman to wrestle in WWE, opening doors for future Irish stars. She won three titles, including the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice with different partners. She stopped wrestling in 1998 when she was having twins. Now, she makes and sells crafts as a hobby.
